Trio Cars was a British manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

1993 Ken Hallett founded the company in Wareham in the county of Dorset . He started producing DIY blueprints, kits and automobiles. The brand name was Trio . Production ended in 2000. A total of around five vehicles and a further 25 construction plans were created.

The only model was a tricycle with a rear single wheel. The chassis contained a subframe from the Mini . The open two-seater body consisted mainly of wood , aluminum and vinyl, the bonnet and the front fenders of fiberglass . Many parts, including the four-cylinder engine , came from Austin .
