Andrew Laird Bates founded on November 5, 2010, the company in Buxhall in the county of Suffolk . He started producing automobiles in the same year. The brand name is AB Performance . Six vehicles have survived by 2011.

The Saber appeared as the first model . The Arion followed in 2015 . Both are racing cars . At least one vehicle is street legal. Various engines of motorcycles such as the Honda Fireblade have been handed down for the Saber . The Arion with the British registration WX 66 HZL has a gasoline engine with 998 cm³ displacement .
