The first model from 1972 remained on offer until 1988. The basis was a tubular frame chassis. Many parts came from the Austin 1100 , including the wheel suspension. In 1978 the chassis was modernized. The open body for four people is described as a mix between a traditional roadster and a buggy . A hard top with hinged doors was available. Around 500 copies of this model were made.

LSR

This model appeared in 1979. It was the two-seater variant of the first model and was based on the Ford Escort . 40 copies were made by 1986.

sprint

Of the similar Sprint , which was based on the Mini , around 20 were made between 1980 and 1986.

Tarragon

The Tarragon was completely different . The body with a large tailgate was a mixture of station wagon and station wagon coupe . The basis was formed by the first or second generation Ford Escort with front engine and rear wheel drive. Between 1982 and 1985 Lightspeed produced about 35 copies.

TXR

The successor to the Tarragon had been changed in the stern area. It was now based on the Ford Capri . Seven copies were made between 1985 and 1986.
