Watford Sports Cars Limited was a British manufacturer of automobiles .
Company history
Previously with Tornado Cars , BJ Millar, Ken Hynder and Joe Bound founded the company in Watford in 1959 and began manufacturing automobiles and kits . The brand name was Watford . Production ended in 1962. A total of about 25 copies were made.
vehicles
The only model was the Cheetah . It was similar to the Tornado Typhoon . The base was a tubular frame. A body made of glass fiber reinforced plastic was mounted on top. There was a choice of an open version and one with a hard top . Four-cylinder engines from Ford of Britain , specifically Ford Eight and Ford Ten , powered the vehicles. The rates were 70 pounds for the chassis and 130 pounds for the body.
