Deon Cars , previously JH Classics and Deon Limited , was a British manufacturer of automobiles .
Company history
John Hurst founded in 1987 JH Classics in Clacton-on-Sea in the County of Essex as a successor company to Daytona Classics . The production of automobiles and kits began. The brand name was Deon , initially possibly DGT . There was a collaboration with Swindon Sportscars and Fiberglass Applications . In 1988 the company moved to Sutton Veny near Warminster in Dorset . 1991 company was renamed to Deon Limited and the move to Ilminster in the county Somerset . At the beginning of 1993 came the temporary end. Deon Cars continued production between 1995 and 1998 . A total of over 300 copies were made.
John Hurst founded a new company called JH Classics near Taunton in 2010 and has been marketing vehicles as JH since 2011 .

The DGT was the most successful model with around 220 copies sold. It was a replica of a Dino 246 GT as a coupé and corresponded to the AD 206 model from Daytona Classics. A body made of fiberglass was mounted on a tubular frame . The suspension came from the Fiat 124 (front) and Lancia Beta (rear). For driving a saw four-cylinder engine of Lancia .
The GTS appeared in 1989 as a version of the DGT with a Targa roof .
The Scoperto was the roadster version of the DGT . It found 28 buyers between 1991 and 1997.
Two copies of a lightweight version of the DGT as a roadster called DGT Le Mans were built between 1991 and 1997.
The Mirabeau continued to resemble a dinosaur, but differed in some details. The execution as a roadster has been handed down. The well-known four-cylinder engine from Lancia and a V6 engine from Ford with a displacement of 2900 cm³ were available for the drive . 63 copies were made between 1991 and 1998.
