Phoenix Automotive Limited was a British manufacturer of automobiles .
Company history
Paul Auer House, who previously in communities engine worked, in 1983 founded the company in Moreton-in-Marsh in the county Gloucestershire . He started producing automobiles and kits . The brand name was Phoenix . Production ended in 1986. A total of about 50 copies were made.
There was no connection to Phoenix Automotive from Wiltshire , which years later used the same company name.
vehicles
Only one model was on offer. This was a small station wagon . Richard Oakes was the designer. The Mini formed the basis . In addition to the engine from the Mini, the four-cylinder engine from the Mini Metro was also an alternative. The body was made of fiberglass and had a one-piece large tailgate. Compared to the similar Mini Clubman station wagon, the vehicle was a bit smaller, lighter and more rust-resistant.
