HRG was a British manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

The company HRG Engineering Company Limited started in 1936 in Tolworth with the production of automobiles. HRG stands for the initials of the three founders EA H alford, Guy R obins and Henry Ronald G odfrey.

In 1956 production was stopped after 241 copies were made.

vehicles

The first 1½ liter model was produced from 1935 to 1939. It originated 26 specimens with a four-cylinder engine of Meadows with 1,497 cc engine capacity were equipped. Of the 1100 model with a Singer engine with a displacement of 1074 cc, 49 copies were made between 1936 and 1950. A Singer engine with a displacement of 1496 cm³ was used in the 1500 and Aerodynamic models . Between 1939 and 1956 111 copies of the 1100 and between 1946 and 1949 35 copies of the Aerodynamic were made . There were also four copies of the Twin Cam from 1955 to 1956 , which were equipped with a Twin Cam engine developed by HRG based on the Singer engine with a displacement of 1496 cc.

A vehicle of this brand can be seen at the Moray Motor Museum in Elgin .
