Silhouette Cars Limited was a British manufacturer of automobiles .
Company history
Peter Zagaroff founded the company in Lewisham in the London Borough of Lewisham in 1970 . He started producing automobiles and kits . The brand name was Silhouette . Production ended in 1973.
Adrian Wood of Adrian Wood Engineering from Lichfield in the county of Staffordshire began in 1978 the production continued and used the same brand name. A total of about 18 copies were made.
There was no connection to Silhouette Cars from Corby , which used the same brand name between 1987 and 1988.
vehicles
Sporty vehicles were on offer, mostly coupes . The chassis of the VW Beetle formed the basis . A fiberglass body was mounted on top. The version with normal doors was called GS 70 . The Zagaroff appeared in 1971, had double doors and sold five times.
A cabriolet has been handed down.
In 1978 the GS 70 was reissued. Terry Sands designed a new chassis for this.
