GE Engineering PLC was a British manufacturer of automobiles .
Company history
John Payne and Michael Hart founded the company in 1988 in Mere in the county of Wiltshire . They took over a project from Gravetti Engineering and started producing automobiles and kits . The brand name was GE . Production ended in 1989.
CK Automotive from Maidstone continued production until 1998, using the brand name CK .
vehicles
The only model was the 427 . This was the successor to the Gravetti 427 . It was a replica of the AC Cobra . The base was a tubular space frame. A two-seater body made of aluminum and aramid fiber-reinforced polyester was mounted on top . The suspension came from Jaguar Cars . Different engines from the V6 engine from Ford to V8 engines from Chevrolet , Ford and Rover to the V12 engine from Jaguar were available for the vehicles.
A total of about 70 copies of the model 427 were made by the three manufacturers.
