Sandbach Replica Cars was a British manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

The company from Sandbach in the county of Cheshire started importing from the USA in 1983 and a little later with the production of automobiles and kits . The brand name was Sandbach . Production ended in 1984. A total of about seven vehicles were built.

All models were originally based on the chassis of the VW Beetle and had its four - cylinder boxer engine in the rear. Sandbach later designed its own chassis with a front engine using parts from the Vauxhall Chevette . Various engines from Ford and Vauxhall were available.

The Duke was a replica of the SS 100 . The Saxon was modeled on the Austin-Healey 3000 and was available as both a roadster and a coupé . The TD was similar to the MG TD .
