Company history

Martin Williamson, Rodney Rushton and John Batchelor founded in 1990, the company Classic Roadster in Sunbury-on-Thames in the county of Surrey . They started with the import and a little later with the production of automobiles and kits . The brand name was Sebring . In 1991 it was renamed Sebring Cars . John Butcher later took over the company, and in 1995 Rob and Paul McMillan. After that, the company was located in Three Holes near Wisbech in Cambridgeshire . In 2003, Martin Reynolds took over the company and renamed it Sebring International . Then Phil Overall headed the company. The location was Cheltenham in Gloucestershire . A total of over 400 vehicles were built. The company was dissolved in 2019.

vehicles

On offer were replicas of the Austin-Healey 3000 in different variations. A ladder frame formed the basis. An open body was mounted on it. Different four-cylinder engines and V6 engines from Ford , series - six-cylinder engines from Nissan and V8 engines from Chevrolet and rover drove to the vehicles.

The first model, the SX , with its narrow body was most similar to the original. Many parts came from the Ford Granada in the past . Around 200 of these vehicles were built.

The MX, which was manufactured from 1992 and had a slightly wider body, was similarly successful with around 150 units sold.

The TMX appeared in 1995. It had an even wider body, flared wheel arches and more chrome. He found around 25 buyers.

The MXR was the same as the MX and TMX , but had less chrome. About 25 copies were also made of this model.

The ZX presented in 2006 was designed to be much sportier. It had a Ford V8 and had about four buyers.

Mark van Driel and Chris Hollier designed the Exalt in 2007 . Compared to the other models, the front was heavily redesigned and no longer recognizable as an Austin-Healey . About ten copies of this model were made.
