Sunbury-on-Thames , or Sunbury for short, is a city in the British county of Surrey . The place is in the Spelthorne district and belonged to Middlesex until 1965 . The Twickenham Bridge and Walton Bridge cross the here Thames .
The place belonging to the Archdiocese of Westminster is located on the M3 and was to be connected to the Central London Railway of the London Underground as early as 1913 .
The inventor Frederick Walton built a linoleum factory here in 1878, Lammas Ltd manufactured automobiles here between 1936 and 1938, the National Jazz and Blues Festival took place here in 1968, and today the diving outfitter Acergy is based here, as is the London Irish Rugby Football Club .
