Paul Emery Cars Ltd. was a British automobile manufacturer based in Fulham (London) . A small sports car was built there from 1964 to 1966 .

The Emery Imp GT was based on the Hillman Imp and also had its four-cylinder in - line engine with overhead camshaft and 875 cm³ displacement installed in the rear . This motor has made in production configuration 39 hp (29 kW) at 5000 min -1 . On request there was also a highly specific 998 cc racing engine from the Rootes group . The chassis of the Emery Imp GT consisted of a tubular space frame. Only three of the ultra-flat coupes were manufactured by Paul Emery ( Emeryson Cars ) in 1963/1964 , one of them with an aluminum body. International races took place in the 500 km race on the Nürburgring in 1964 and 1966. The aluminum coupe, which was manufactured as a one-off and which subsequently received an aerodynamically optimized rear, was later destroyed in a race in England by accident and rebuilt .
