Specframe Vehicle Company Limited was a British manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

A former employee of TVR in 1983 founded the company in Preston in the county of Lancashire . He started producing automobiles and kits . The brand name was Specframe . Production ended in 1985. A total of about four copies were made.

The only model was the Specter . The basis was a special chassis. An open two-seater body was mounted on it. Many parts came from the Ford Cortina . Various engines up to the V6 engine powered the vehicles. Chassis and drive were praised, but the appearance of the body was criticized.
