KVA Cars Limited was a British manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

Ken Vincent Attwell, who previously worked for Ford of Britain , founded the company in Swansea , Wales in 1982 . He started producing automobiles and kits . The brand name was KVA . Later his wife Margaret and later his son Paul Attwell ran the company. Production ended in 1992. A total of over 500 copies were made.

vehicles

The first and best-selling model was the GT 40 . This was the replica of the Ford GT 40 . The basis was a spaceframe made of steel tubes. The suspension and steering came from the Ford Cortina and the transmission from the VW Beetle . Various engines from the four-cylinder engine from Ford to V6 engines from Ford and Renault to V8 engines from Ford and Rover powered the vehicles. The body of the two-seater coupe was made of fiberglass . About 510 copies were made of this model.

The Countach Replica was a replica of a Lamborghini Countach . About three copies were made between 1987 and 1988.

The D-Type Replica as a replica of the Jaguar D-Type from 1988 to 1989 remained a one-off.

Of the XKSS Replica , a replica of the Jaguar XK-SS , only one copy was also made during the same period.

There was also a replica of the Ferrari 365 Daytona .
