Rodley Automobile

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Rodley Automobile Co. Ltd. was a British automobile manufacturer based in Leeds, Yorkshire .

In 1954 and 1955 a simple, light sedan with two seats was built there, which was driven by a side-controlled , front-mounted V2 engine from JAP with a displacement of 750 cc. The car with the fuel-efficient engine was created because of the shortage of petrol in the aftermath of the Korean War and sold quite well.

When the global political tide had smoothed out again, customers wanted larger and more luxurious vehicles again, and production of the Rodley had to be stopped.
