GRS Cars was a British manufacturer of automobiles .
Company history
The brothers Walklett, the Ginetta initiated, in 1982 founded the company in Witham in the county of Essex . They started making automobiles and kits . The brand name was GRS . Production ended in 1989. A total of about 363 copies were made.
vehicles
The first model, Tora , was available from 1982 to 1988. It was a small two-door station wagon . The base was a steel ladder frame. A fiberglass body was mounted on top. Many parts such as the engine , windshield , doors and interior fittings came from the Hillman Hunter . About 360 copies were made of this model.
In 1988 the Tora Estate followed . A different chassis , the four-cylinder engine from the Ford Cortina and the four-door station wagon body were the differences. Only three copies were made until it was discontinued in 1989.
