Classic ERA was a British manufacturer of automobiles .
Company history
John Gregson founded the company in Hampshire in 1991 . He started producing automobiles and kits . The brand name was Classic English Racing Automobiles . In 1999, the production of models that had previously been made by Proteus Cars was added . In 2000 the own brand name was given up. Production ended in 2005. A total of 45 copies were made.
vehicles
Replicas of the Jaguar models C-Type and D-Type were on offer . Many parts came from Jaguar. The open body was made of aluminum . Around 45 vehicles were built between 1991 and 2000.
Between 1999 and 2005 the company manufactured the C-Type , D-Type and 300 SLR models , which were sold under the Proteus brand .
