Ayrspeed-Manx , previously Manx Cars , was a British manufacturer of automobiles .
Company history
1991 Jim Clark founded the company Manx Cars in Riseley in the county of Berkshire . He started producing automobiles and kits . The brand name was Manx . In 1998 the name was changed to Ayrspeed-Manx and the company moved to Reading , also in Berkshire. Iain Ayr was involved at times. Production ended in 2000. A total of about nine copies were made.
Fereday Cars from Hartley Wintney under the direction of Alan Fereday continued production from 2000 to 2002 under the brand name Vario .
vehicles
Only one model was on offer. This was an open vehicle based on the Citroën 2 CV and offered space for two or four people. A hardtop was available from 1993 .
