Dial Plastics was a British manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

Frank Sheen founded the company in Grays in 1969 and began producing automobiles and kits . The brand name was Dial . In 1971 a vehicle was presented at the Racing Car Show . Production ended in the same year. A total of about 20 copies were made.

The only model was the Buccaneer . This was a flat sports car . The coupé body had gullwing doors . The basis was a spaceframe. A line engine from Ford was behind the seats in mid-engine layout mounted. The transmission came from Volkswagen and the wheel suspensions from Triumph .
