Johnard Engineering was a British manufacturer of automobiles .
Company history
John Guppy and Dudley Beck founded the company in 1974 in Blandford Forum in the county of Dorset . They started making automobiles and kits . The brand name was Johnard . Production ended in 1978. A total of about 16 copies were made. They also ran the Johnard Vintage Car Repairs Limited repair and restoration workshop in the same location .

The only model was the Donington . The basis was the chassis of a Bentley Mark VI . A plastic body was mounted on top. Only the bonnet was made of aluminum . The open body offered space for two people. In addition to the original six-cylinder engine , a version with a V8 engine was also available.
Competitors in this small market sector were Lawrence and Mallalieu .
A surviving vehicle with the British registration WFX 197 sold for £ 45,000 a few years ago .
