The Bentley Mark VI is a car model from Bentley Motors . The four-door luxury sedan was the manufacturer's first post-war model and also the first to be delivered from the factory as a complete vehicle with a factory body.

The Mark VI was technically based on the Rolls-Royce Silver Wraith introduced in the same year , it differed from this mainly in terms of a shorter wheelbase and a modified engine as well as the new factory body ("Standard Steel"). Three years later, based on the Mark VI, the group brother Silver Dawn was presented, which was also equipped with the standard steel body, but had an enlarged trunk. In 1952, this extended trunk was also adopted for the successor to the Mark VI, the R-Type .

The vehicle was initially offered with a "4 1⁄4-liter" in-line six-cylinder engine with 4357 cm³. From 1951 onwards, a "4 1⁄2 liter" engine expanded to 4566 cm³ was offered. These two versions are also available as small bore (small cylinder bore ) resp. big bore known; the latter also became the standard engine of the R-Type.
