The Bentley Azure is a two-door, four-seat convertible from the vehicle manufacturer Bentley .
Model history
The production version of the vehicle was formally presented for the first time at the 2005 IAA . Half a year earlier, a near-series concept vehicle called the Bentley Arnage Drophead Coupé was shown at the LA Auto Show .
Technology and price
The Azure is based on the modified platform of the Bentley Arnage , and uses the engine of the Arnage R. Numerous reinforcement measures have been integrated in the platform and in the structure to compensate for the loss of body rigidity typical of a convertible compared to the closed version. The corresponding Brooklands Coupé is also based on this modified platform . The Azure comes with a fully electric soft top as standard . With a base price of € 334,021, the vehicle was the most expensive production convertible in the world after the Rolls-Royce Phantom Drophead Coupé (€ 440,300).
Azure T
In 2008 the Azure series was supplemented by a variant called Azure T with increased performance and torque. The formal presentation was made at the 2008 LA Auto Show. In the Azure T, the engine of the Arnage T sedan as well as side air intakes and a front apron in the Arnage T style were installed. The 20 "wheels come from the sedan, as do the aluminum pedals and the diamond cut leather on the door center panels and seat center panels.
