DC Supercars , previously Hand Crafted Cars , is a British manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

1998 Dave Harrison and Ron Spearink founded the company Hand Crafted Cars in London district of Thornton Heath . They started making automobiles and kits . The brand name is RD 1 . When Spearink left in 2003 and Clive Dingwall became Harrison's new partner, the company's name was changed to DC Supercars and the company moved to Boston , Lincolnshire . A total of about 56 copies have been made so far.

Another source gives Hand Crafted Cars as the sole manufacturer from 1998 to 2005 and the brand name Hand Crafted Cars .

vehicles

Replicas of the Lamborghini Diablo are on offer . The first model was the coupé in 1998 . In 2002 the open version called the Roadster was added to the range. The basis is a spaceframe. A fiberglass body is mounted on top. Many parts, including the brakes, come from the Ford Granada . The engine is mounted in a mid-engine design behind the seats. Conventional engine is a V8 engine from Rover .

The coupe is more successful than the roadster with around 40 units sold so far.
