Amalfi Sportscars was a British manufacturer of automobiles .
Company history
Paul Sparrow founded the company in 1994. Both Basingstoke in the county of Hampshire and Newport in Monmouthshire ( Wales ) are named as locations . He started producing automobiles and kits . The brand name was Amalfi . 1997 followed the move to Ammanford in Carmarthenshire . Production ended in 2000. A total of about two copies were made.
vehicles
The first model was the passero . It was similar to the Lamborghini Countach , but was 33 cm shorter and 13 cm narrower. A spaceframe formed the basis. Four-cylinder engines from the Fiat X 1/9 and Lancia Beta were available for the drive . A special feature were six front headlights, which were designed as folding headlights .
In 1997 the model name Passero was dropped . The revised frame was now designed for the wheel suspensions of the Ford Granada and Ford Scorpio . One of the buyers was Larry Webb.
