Invader was a British car brand.

Brand history

John Sprinzel imported the body of a Scorpion LT from Desert Fox Sand Buggies from the USA , changed a few details and presented a vehicle at the British Motor Show 1970. John Cullen from GB Motors from Birmingham took over the project and brought it into series production. The brand name was Invader . In 1977, Croy took over Glassfibre Products from Bordesley Green and offered kits until 1979 . James Hale of GT Moldings in Portslade continued production from 1988 to 1991. A total of about 150 copies were made.

The export took place to Greece .

Only one model was involved. This was a VW buggy . The shortened chassis of the VW Beetle formed the basis. Between 1977 and 1979 a kit was priced at £ 258.75 including VAT .
