FWC Cars was a British manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

Chris Faulkener, Dick Weed and Tony Chappell founded the company in Langley in 1971 . The place was then in the county of Buckinghamshire . The initials of their last names gave the company name. They started making automobiles and kits . The brand name was Zita . Weed and Chappell left the company prematurely. Production ended in 1972. A total of two copies were made.

The only model was the ZS . The basis was a self-developed chassis . A fiberglass coupé body was mounted on top. The windshield was from the Vauxhall Viva . A four - cylinder boxer engine from the VW Beetle powered the vehicle. Alternatively, an engine from the British Motor Corporation with 1800 cc displacement was also provided.
