Spire Sports Cars , previously Spire Sportscars , is a British manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

2005 Paul Knightingale founded the company Spire Sports Cars in Chesterfield in the county of Derbyshire . He took over a project from MK Sportscars , began producing automobiles and kits, and marketed them as the Spire . In 2010 he founded Spire Sports Cars in Alfreton , Derbyshire.

A total of over 80 copies have been made so far.

vehicles

The first model GT-R (sometimes also written GTR ) was the successor to the MK GT 2 . This is a street legal racing car. The open body offers space for two people. Various engines, which come from cars and motorcycles, power the vehicles. This model has found around 80 buyers since 2005.

The GT-3 is also an open racing car. It has an engine from the Honda Fireblade . The differential comes from RT Quaife Engineering . Around three vehicles have been built since 2011.

John Cutmore used these vehicles successfully in car races.
