Wilson Spratt Motors , previously the Austin-Healey Center , was a British manufacturer of automobiles .
Company history
Douglas Wilson Spratt, who sold British Motor Corporation vehicles in his Delta Garage in London , and Jim McManus founded the Austin-Healey Center company in the Swiss Cottage district of London in 1961 . They started developing automobiles, which led to production in 1962. The brand name was WSM . From 1965 the company operated under the name Wilson Spratt Motors , based in Leighton Buzzard . Production ended in 1967. A total of about 25 copies were made.
vehicles
The top-selling model was the Sprite . The Austin-Healey Sprite formed the basis . An aerodynamic coupé body was mounted on top. Initially the body was made of aluminum , later made of fiberglass . The vehicles were suitable for both racing and the road.
Also, some vehicles created based on Austin-Healey 3000 , MG 1100 and MG B .
In 2012 a WSM vehicle meeting was held, organized by Tony Wilson-Spratt, the founder's son.
