Country Volks was a British manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

The Basingstoke company began manufacturing automobiles in 1970. Stephen Wilson headed the company from 1987, while no information is available for the time before. The brand name was initially only Country Volks , from 1985 also FF and from 1987 also Rat , after Wilson took over the production of two models from FF Kit Cars & Conversions . In addition, from 1990, kits of Apa from Belgium imported and offered. Production ended in 1993.

This mark was in use between 1970 and 1992. VW buggies were on offer . Like so many British buggies, they were similar to GP's buggies . A total of about 400 copies were made.

Brand name advice

These vehicles, produced from 1987 to 1993, were also buggies. Noticeable was an implied oval air inlet in the front.

Brand name FF

Country Volks manufactured the FF Countryman between 1985 and 1993 . This was the conversion of a VW Beetle into a pick-up .

The FF Buggy , produced from 1987 to 1993, was a further development of the Rat with an ordinary front and resembled the Country Volks .
