Blackjack Cars is a British manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

1996 Richard Oakes founded the company in Helston in the county of Cornwall . He started producing automobiles and kits . The brand name is Blackjack . A total of about 85 copies have been made so far.

The first model was the Avion . This was a tricycle with a rear single wheel. A tubular steel frame formed the base. A two-cylinder engine from the Citroën 2 CV powered the vehicle. The open, doorless body offered space for two people. Around 70 copies were made by 2005.

The Zero has been on offer since 2005 . It has a similar structure, but has a more powerful engine. At first it was an air-cooled four - cylinder boxer engine from the VW Beetle and since 2008 a motorcycle engine from Moto Guzzi .
