Mini (spelling since 2001: MINI ) is a British car brand. The brand has been part of the German BMW Group since 1994 .

prehistory

The British Motor Corporation introduced the 1959 car model Mini under the brand Austin as Austin Seven and Morris as Morris Mini Minor on the market.

Brand history

The British Leyland Motor Corporation, the successor company of the British Motor Corporation, decided to sell the Mini model under its own brand from 1970. Production of this model did not end until 2000.

A year after Rover was sold , the BMW Group presented a new mini model .
