GT Moldings was a British manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

James Hale founded the company in 1981 in Portslade, near Brighton, in East Sussex . He started producing automobiles and kits . The brand name was GT for its own model from 1997. It was exported to Egypt , Belgium , Ireland and the Netherlands . Production ended in 2007.

vehicles

The GT Buggy was in the range from 1997 to 2007. This was a VW buggy . The chassis of the VW Beetle formed the basis . Either 45 or 95 copies were made of this version. In 2004, a version with a wheelbase shortened by 30 cm was added. She found five buyers.

The GT Surf Buggy was also a buggy. GT Moldings acquired the molds from the Belgian Dirk Tinck and sold two copies from 2005 to 2007, one of them to Ireland.

The company also manufactured vehicles under the Baja , Bugle , GP , Invader , Kyote , Manta and Renegade brands .

GT Moldings also imported vehicles from Apal .
