Luego was a British automobile brand under which various manufacturers marketed automobiles .

Brand history

The company Hi-Wise Limited was in on 30 July 2002 Kettering in the county of Northamptonshire founded. On August 20, 2002, Grant Lockhead and Matt Wright became directors. On September 9, 2002, the company moved to Huntingdon in Cambridgeshire and on October 9, 2002, the company was renamed Luego Sports Cars Limited . On March 20, 2003 the company moved to Peterborough , Cambridgeshire. On May 18, 2006, the application for liquidation was filed . On November 22, 2007 the company was dissolved.

On March 26, 2007 in Aberdeen in Scotland , the ABCABDN Limited founded. Benjamin Francis Lord became director on April 2, 2007. On January 3, 2008, the name was changed to Luego Sports Cars Limited . On April 29, 2010 the company moved to Kintore in Aberdeenshire and on January 5, 2011 to Banchory in Aberdeenshire. Since August 14, 2013, the company has been located in Brechin in Angus . Automobile production ended in 2010.

There was also Luego Trikes Limited . Dean Steven Roizer and Stephen George Hills founded the company on December 13, 2006 in Oakham , Rutland . It was disbanded on May 21, 2008.

Lockhead Grant and Matthew Wright also founded Luego Developments Limited on December 23, 2003 in London . The aim was the production of car bodies . The next day the company headquarters was relocated to Woodston near Peterborough. Wright resigned from his post as director on March 18, 2005. On January 30, 2007 the company was dissolved.

A total of around 200 copies were made.

vehicles

The first model was the Locost , which was taken over by Ron Champion in 2002 . Luego was the only company allowed to continue to call the model Locost, while many other companies manufactured vehicles of the same type . The model was similar to the Lotus Seven and was an open two-seater. Between 1998 and 2005, Ron Champion and Luego Sports Cars together produced around 150 vehicles.

The Velocity XT was designed similarly. It found around 75 buyers between 2002 and 2010.

The Viento V8 , which was offered at the same time, brought it to around 70 copies. Also a vehicle in the style of the Lotus Seven, it was a bit larger, had a spaceframe frame and a V8 engine .

Bike-to-Trike was the name given to converting a motorcycle into a tricycle with a single front wheel. This model was available from Luego Sports Cars from 2004 to 2005. Luego Trikes tried to continue production. A total of around five vehicles were built.
