Reef Engineering was a British manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

John Crosthwaite, who previously for Reliant worked, in 1976 founded the company in Lichfield in the county of Staffordshire . He started with the production of automobiles. Kits were also created from 1981 . The brand name was Caribbean . Production ended in 1983. Many vehicles were exported to Barbados and the Seychelles . A total of about 46 kits and an unknown number of finished vehicles were created.

In many cases, the basis was formed by the chassis of Reliant Kitten and Reliant Fox and their four-cylinder engine . In some cases a separate lead frame was used as well as parts from the Reliant Robin . The body was made of fiberglass . The Cub was a four-seater beach wagon and the Cob was a two-door pickup truck .
