The communities Motor Co. Ltd. was a British automobile manufacturer based in Washington , Tyne and Wear . Kit cars were built there from 1972 to 1974 .
Clan engine
The Clan Crusader introduced in 1972 was based on the Hillman Imp . Its 875 cm³ four-cylinder in-line engine with an overhead camshaft made 51 bhp (38 kW) and was installed in the rear.
The small, two-seater sports car was equipped with a GRP body and was also often used in competitions.
In 1974 production ended after around 350 vehicles were manufactured.

Clan Cars (NI)
Between 1982 and 1987, presented Clan Cars (NI) from Northern Ireland again Vehicles ago, as communities were marketed.
The first model without its own model name was based on the original rear-engined Crusader, but had pop-up headlights . Of these, around 130 vehicles were built.
There was also Clan Clover from 1986 to 1987. He had a mid-engine of Alfa Romeo , a large tailgate and flared rear fenders . Around 26 of these vehicles were built.
