Roadcraft UK Limited , previously Southern Roadcraft Limited , was a British manufacturer of automobiles .
Company history
The brothers Ian and Brian Nicholls founded in 1984, the company Southern Road Craft Limited in Portslade in the county of West Sussex . They started making automobiles and kits . The brand name was Southern Roadcraft . In 1987 the company moved to Southwick near Brighton in West Sussex and in 1994 to Lancing in West Sussex. From 1994 the company traded as Roadcraft UK Limited when Geoff Mills took over management. Production ended in 1999. A total of about 720 copies were made.
Madgwick Cars from Pagham continued production of a model from 2003.
vehicles
The first and best-selling SR V8 model was a replica of the AC Cobra . A tubular frame formed the basis. An open two-seater body was mounted on it. Various V8 engines powered the vehicles. About 600 copies were made of this model.
The SR V12 was modeled on the Ferrari 365 Daytona . Initially imported from the USA by McBurnie Coachcraft , the company developed its own version, which was available from 1988. Jaguar Cars V6 and V12 engines powered the vehicles. Around 120 copies were made by 1993.
