Transformer HF

Transformer Cars was a British manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

1984 Gerry Hawkridge founded the company in Frant in the county of East Sussex . He was assisted by Colin Artus and Gordon Cruickshank. They started making automobiles and kits . The brand name was Transformer . Production ended in 1990. Other sources give the production period from 1986 to 1996. A total of about 250 copies were made. Hawkridge also founded Hawk Cars in 1986 .

The HF 2000 and HF 3000 models were on offer . These were replicas of the Lancia Stratos . On a special chassis a was coupe -Karosserie of fiberglass mounted. Many parts came from the Lancia Beta . Various engines from Honda , Rover , V6 engines from Alfa Romeo and V6 and V8 engines from Ferrari powered the vehicles.

The successor was the Hawk Stratos from Hawk Cars.
