Falcon was a British car brand.

Brand history

Peter Bird, who previously worked for Stevens Cars and Lomax Motor Company , founded Falcon Design in 1982 in Birmingham . He started producing automobiles and kits . The brand name was Falcon . The company's headquarters were in Rugby , Warwickshire from 1987 to 1990 when Tony Hoderin ran the company. From 1990 to 1993 it was again under the direction of Peter Bird, and the seat was in Stratford-upon-Avon in Warwickshire. Michael James Cooper and Paula Ashleigh Morris of Frome 2 CV Center in Frome , Somerset continued production. In 2001 the company was renamed Falcon Cars Limited and moved to Cranwell in Lincolnshire . Production ended in 2002. A total of about 292 copies were made.

There was no association with Falcon Cars , which operated between 1958 and 1964 and used the same brand name.

vehicles

The 1982 Chase and the similar 1983 Quarry remained prototypes . The Quarry was something of a dirt track racing car as a pick-up . The models were based on either the Citroën 2 CV or the VW Beetle .

The sport was in the range from 1984 to 2002. This was a small sports car in the style of the Lotus Seven . The basis was the chassis of the Citroën 2 CV. A total of about 230 copies were made.

The LX 3 was a single rear wheel tricycle on the same base. It appeared either in 1984 or 1986. About 60 copies were made of this model.
