The W 152 is similar to racing cars from the 1950s. The basis is a tubular space frame, originally designed by Spyder Engineering . The open body consists either of synthetic resin reinforced with glass or aramid fibers or of aluminum . Various six-cylinder in - line and V12 engines from Jaguar Cars as well as a V8 engine from Rover were available in the past. One vehicle even got a V16 engine. The German importer U. Klausmann & R. Lamsfuß GbR from Hausach offered the vehicle in 1993 at prices starting at 15,000 DM for the kit and 111,000 DM for a complete vehicle . Around 110 vehicles have been built so far.

Between 1999 and 2003, four GP Racers with V8 engines and two seats were built in a row.

The Lightning appeared in 2002 . A V8 engine from the Ford Mustang with 4600 cm³ displacement and 325 hp to 440 hp provided the drive.
