Diva was a British automobile manufacturer.

Company history

The company Tunex conversions Limited of London began in 1962 with the production of automobiles. In 1966 the company was renamed Diva Cars Limited . Production ended in 1968.

Sporty vehicles were produced, which were also available as kit cars and were called Diva GTs and which were able to achieve a class victory in the 1000 km race at the Nürburgring in 1964 . Engines from other manufacturers were used, preferably Ford-Anglia engines, which were enlarged to 1150 cm³ displacement for homologation reasons for racing at international events and prepared with Cosworth parts. In this version, the small and light coupes were very competitive sports equipment, u. a. at the endurance races of the 1960s on the Nürburgring. In 1966 the company developed a mid-engine coupe, the Valkyr or Valkyrie. Only three vehicles were built, one took part in the 1000-kilometer race at the Nürburgring in 1966 . Initially, a Coventry Climax engine powered the vehicle. A Lotus twin cam engine was later used for cost reasons.
