Predator was a British car brand.

Brand history

Mel Hubbard founded in 1999, the company Manxbuggies in Dartford in the county of Kent . He started producing automobiles and kits . The brand names were u. a. Bounty , Manx and Prowler . He later moved to Wisbech in Cambridgeshire . In 2001 he also launched a model under the brand name Predator . In 2002, Buzzbugs Buggies continued production under the direction of David Waspe. Production ended in 2004.

According to another source, Buzzbugs , later renamed Autobuzzi , manufactured vehicles of this brand name under the direction of David Waspe from 1998 to 2003, and since then manufactured East Coast Manx in King's Lynn in Norfolk , later Uppingham in Rutland , under the direction of Rob Kilham. In May 2015, however, the East Coast Manx website did not list a Predator.

Another source states that the brand name was Autobuzzi and the model name was Predator. The manufacturer was therefore Autobuzzi, later renamed Buzzbugs, in Fordham near Ely in Cambridgeshire under the direction of David Waspe. The construction period should have been from 2000 to 2009.

A total of about 25 copies were made.

Only one model was on offer. This was a VW buggy . The basis was the chassis of the VW Beetle , which was shortened by 40 cm. An open body in fiberglass was mounted on it.
