Stevens Cars Limited was a British manufacturer of automobiles .

prehistory

Anthony Stevens designed the Roadster Sienna in his Anthony Stevens Design Limited in 1976 or 1979 , but it did not go into production. Together with Peter Bird of Falcon Design , he designed the Cipher in 1980 , which was manufactured by Cipher Cars from 1980 to 1983 (according to another source by Stevens Cars of Warwick) and from 1983 to 1984 by Falcon Design of Birmingham . The brand name was Stevens .

Company history

Stevens founded in 1984, the new company Stevens Cars Limited in Warwick in the county Warwickshire and continued the production of automobiles continues. Production ended in 1986. A total of eight or about twelve copies were made.

vehicles

Only one model was on offer. Initially, the chassis of the Reliant Kitten provided the basis, although it was revised. The vehicle was powered by a four-cylinder Reliant engine with a displacement of 848 cc . Later engines from Ford and Renault were also used. Stevens only offered complete vehicles.
