Cox & Co. was a British manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

Bernard Cox founded the company in Hazel Grove in 1967 and began producing automobiles designed by Jack Hosker. The brand name was Cox . Production ended in 1971 when the company went bankrupt. A total of about 55 copies were made. Other sources give the production period as 1966 to 1968 or 1966 to 1969. GTM continued production under its own brand name.

The only model was the Grand Touring Mini or Grand Touring Mid-Engine , GTM for short . A chassis made of steel formed the basis. There were modified subframes from the Mini at the front and rear . The four-cylinder engine of the Mini was mounted in a mid-engine design behind the seats. The coupé offered space for two people.
