Tribute Automotive is a British manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

Chris Welch manages the company based in Wareham in the county of Dorset . In 2011 the production of automobiles and kit cars began . The brand name is Tribute . In 2011, 2013 and 2014 the company participated in the Stoneleigh National Kit Car Show .

The connection to Tribute Automotive Ltd. from nearby Swanage is unclear. Christopher George Welch and Angela Julie Welch manage this company, founded on July 20, 2015, which is active in the field of repair and maintenance of motor vehicles.

The first model, called the Coupe, was based on a Toyota Supra . The front of the coupé had double round headlights.

In 2017, the company listed several models on its website.

The MX 250 and MX 250 C were based on the Mazda MX-5 . They resemble a Ferrari 250 GTO . There is a choice of a coupé and an open version.

The 250 SWB is based on the BMW Z3 and is similar to the Ferrari 250 SWB. This model is also available as a coupé and a convertible .

The Cobra on the same basis is a vehicle in the style of the AC Cobra .

The Z 300 S is also based on the BMW Z3 , an open two-seater with no direct model.

The chassis of a Triumph Spitfire forms the basis for the A 352 . The body of this open two-seater in the style of the 1950s is made of fiberglass-reinforced plastic .

There is also the Jaguar 'D' Type the replica of a Jaguar D-Type .

The MRS 200 is based on a Toyota MR 2 . It is similar to the Ford RS 200 .

No basis has survived for the Mistral , an open two-seater in the style of the 1950s.

The Newport is still under development. This 1940s-style open-top racing car is based on the chassis of the Citroën 2 CV .
