Fellpoint Limited was a British manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

Robin Statham led the company from Penn in the county of Buckinghamshire . Between 1967 and 1971 he made the Mini Jem . In 1971 the production of own automobiles and kits began . The brand name was Futura . Production ended in the same year. A total of about three copies were made. One of the kits only became a street-legal vehicle in 1979.

The chassis of the VW Beetle formed the basis of the vehicles . A futuristic two-seater coupé body was mounted on top. Instead of side doors, the windshield swiveled away to allow access to the interior via the front of the vehicle. Initially, it was planned to mount four headlights behind the windscreen, but then due to legal regulations, pop-up headlights were let into the front.
