Sherwood Universal Vehicles was a British manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

Steven Beardsall, who also Spartan Cars led, in 1984 founded the independent companies in Pinxton in the county of Nottinghamshire . He started producing automobiles and kits . The brand name was Sherwood . Production ended in 1992. A total of about 310 copies were made.

vehicles

One model was the Sherwood . A ladder frame formed the basis. Many parts from the Ford Cortina were used, along with fourteen separate panels of fiberglass that made up the body. The finished vehicle was a station wagon with increased cargo space that was available with three and five doors. From 1984 about 110 copies of this model were made.

The Starcraft was a six-wheeled RV with alcove based on the Sherwood . From 1986 about 200 copies were made.
