Deltayn Limited was a British manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

John Parradine founded the company in 1985 in Finching Field in the County of Essex . He started producing automobiles and kits . The brand name was Deltayn . In 1987 the company moved to Appleby in Lincolnshire . Production ended in the same year. A total of about two copies were made. Parradine then founded the Parradine Motor Company .

The only model was the Proteus . A ladder frame formed the basis. The suspension came from the Jaguar XJ . The V8 engine from Rover drove the vehicle. The body offered space for two people. The targa roof was divided into two parts and was removable. A hardtop was also available. The front with six headlights was striking .
