Gardner Douglas Sports Cars is a British manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

Andrew Burrows founded the company in Bottesford in 1990 and began manufacturing automobiles. The brand name is Gardner Douglas . Since 1996 the company has been located in Newark-on-Trent . Auto Service Friedel from Hirschaid temporarily imported vehicles to Germany.

The first model, the GD 427, is still available. Although it is similar to the AC Cobra , it is not a replica . V6 and V8 engines from Ford , Rover and American manufacturers with up to 500 hp power the vehicles. The open bodies are made of plastic and offer space for two people. A hard top with hinged doors is also available.

The GD T 70 has been expanding the range since 2004 . This is a racing sports car that is similar to the Lola T 70 .
