Enfield Automotive Ltd. was a British manufacturer of automobiles .
Company history
The London company started producing automobiles in 1969. The brand name was Enfield . In 1973, Enfield-Neorion took over the company. The main assembly was then relocated to the island of Syros in Greece and the company headquarters to Cowes on the Isle of Wight , where the final production also took place. Production ended in 1976. A total of at least 106 vehicles were built.
Models
The company made electric cars. The first model was the 465 , which remained a prototype . The production model was the 8000 . An electric motor with 8 HP power propelled the vehicle. The maximum speed was specified with 64 km / h, and the range with 64 km. 106 copies of this model were made. The British Electricity Council accepted 60 vehicles. An open beach car on this basis was the E 8000 Bicini from 1973 .
